Condolences on the Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court Fire

We are deeply saddened by the five-alarm fire that occurred today at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. As of 7:00 p.m., the fire has caused at least four deaths (including one firefighter who died in the line of duty) and multiple injuries. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
We pay our highest respect to the brave firefighters and rescue personnel who fought the blaze.
We urge the government to promptly conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire and to undertake a comprehensive review of fire safety arrangements for building maintenance works to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
