Overview

The Hong Kong Securities & Futures Professionals Association (the “HKSFPA”) (formerly known as the "Hong Kong Securities & Futures Industry Staff Union") was established on January 22, 2002. It operates as a key professional body under the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions (HKFTU) and is formally registered in Hong Kong pursuant to the Trade Unions Ordinance (Cap. 332 of the Laws of Hong Kong). HKSFPA is committed to advancing the professional development of the Securities & Futures industry, safeguarding the rights and interests of practitioners, and providing comprehensive support and services to the sector.

As one of the most representative organizations in the industry, HKSFPA plays a pivotal role in driving industry standardization, enhancing the professional competence of practitioners, and promoting the sustainable development of the sector. Through organizing professional training, industry seminars, and networking activities, HKSFPA strives to create value for its members and contribute to the stability and development of the financial markets.

Moreover, HKSFPA is designated as a constituent body within the Financial Services subsector of the First Sector in the Schedule to the Chief Executive Election Ordinance (Cap. 569 of the Laws of Hong Kong). It actively participates in policy consultations and public affairs, advocating for the industry's interests and supporting the continuous optimization and innovation of Hong Kong's financial policies.

HKSFPA has more than 2,900 active members in current, including practitioners engaged in securities, futures, asset management, and other regulated activities under the supervisory of the Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong (the “SFC”).
