Learning from the President’s Speech: Promoting the Spirit of Model Workers and Inspiring the Passion for Struggle

Chairman Mofiz Chan of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association was invited to join the “Hong Kong Trade Union May Day Delegation” from April 25-28, 2025. The chairman expressed a deep sense of the development and vitality of the mainland. In Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, the delegation visited the venues of the 2022 Winter Olympics and the Labor Movement Museum, gaining insights into the efforts made by trade unions to serve workers.

The most inspiring moment came on April 28 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where the delegation attended the celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the awards ceremony honoring national model workers and advanced workers. They listened firsthand to the important speech by President Xi Jinping. The President emphasized the vital status of the working class and the bridging role of trade unions, calling on workers nationwide to contribute their strength in the new era. This honor and responsibility motivate us to strive forward in our respective positions!

This journey not only broadened our horizons but also strengthened our resolve to contribute to the nation’s development.
