Proposal for Extending KMB Route 275R Service to Saturdays Between Tai Po Market Station and Wu Kau Tang, and Introducing a New Route to Luk Keng
In our sector, the majority of employees follow a five-day workweek. During weekends and public holidays, many individuals seek leisure activities, preferring to escape the urban environment and unwind in the countryside. Wu Kau Tang and Bride’s Pool, located within the Pat Sin Leng Country Park and Sai Kung West Country Park, are favored hiking and recreational spots for residents during their days off.
Currently, there is a notable absence of public transport options to these areas on Saturdays. In response, our association has formally reached out to Senior Honorary Advisor Mr. Chan Pui-leung, Legislative Council Member, requesting that he relay our recommendations to the appropriate authorities. We are advocating for the extension of KMB bus route 275R to operate on Saturdays, as well as for all "R" bus routes to expand their service hours to include Saturdays, thereby enhancing accessibility for the public.
