Meeting with the Acting Secretary for Labour and Welfare
On April 3, 2023, a meeting was convened by Legislative Council member Hon. Mr. Kwok Wai-keung Aaron from the Federation of Trade Union, where Acting Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr. Ho Kai-ming, engaged with Mr. Mofiz Chan, Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association, along with Vice Chairman Mr. PONG Cheuk Pun Nicholas and several Council members. The discussion focused on labor welfare concerns within the securities and futures sector.
HKSFPA voiced significant apprehension regarding the Financial Secretary's budget proposal, which requested the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to explore the possibility of operating during adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the association urged the authorities to address the treatment of local laborers more attentively.
