HKSFPA leads delegation to attend Global Forum on Islamic Economics and Finance, Malaysia
Invited and arranged by the official institutions of Malaysia, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association (the "Association") led members of the board to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to participate in the two-day Global Forum on Islamic Economics and Finance (“GFIEF”), held from May 28th to 29th.
During the forum, the Association in in-depth exchanges with several Islamic financial institutions and universities in Malaysia, discussing various aspects of Islamic finance development, including Islamic banking operations, Islamic investments, and Takaful. These exchanges provided the Association with a valuable opportunity to deepen its understanding of Islamic finance and also fostered mutual understanding and cooperation between both sides.
Additionally, the Chairman of the Association was invited as a distinguished guest by the Bank Negara Malaysia to attend the welcome dinner. As an important social event, the Chairman had face-to-face interactions with senior officials from Bank Negara Malaysia and other representatives from the Islamic finance industry, further deepening mutual understanding and fostering friendly cooperative relationships.
Overall, this visit itinerary was a valuable opportunity for learning and exchange. The Association not only deepened the understanding of the field of Islamic finance but also expanded the collaboration with the Islamic finance industry and academic sector in Malaysia, making progress in introducing training courses. In the future, the Association looks forward to more exchanges and cooperation with the Malaysian authorities to jointly promote the development of the Islamic finance market in Hong Kong.

會上，本會與馬來西亞多家伊斯蘭金融機構和大學展開了深入的交流，探討伊斯蘭金融的各個方面發展，包括伊斯蘭銀行業務、伊斯蘭投資和伊斯蘭保險等。這些交流為本會提供了一個寶貴的機會，加深了本會對伊斯蘭金融的了解，同時也促進了雙方之間的了解和合作。
此外，馬來西亞中央銀行特邀本會會長以貴賓身份參加歡迎晚宴。作為一個重要的社交活動，本會會長與馬來西亞中央銀行的高層和其他伊斯蘭金融界代表進行面對面的交流，進一步加深了彼此的了解和友好合作關係。
